About Us

Imagine being in a huge room with hundreds of other women and whatever question you needed to ask about the City someone in that room was able to tell you where to go to get the answer. Imagine you then took those answers and put them in a central place where all Women could benefit, well that is exactly what we are trying to achieve with WeAreTheCity.Com.

By centralising as much information as we can that relates to Women and the City we hope to save you time researching on the net or trying to obtaining recommendations via word of mouth. WATC is keen to point out that although we have a wealth of experience through our members, we are not qualified to provide professional advice in any form. However, what we are good at is pointing you in the right direction of other organisations that are experts in their field. As a rule we will not advertise for anyone unless they have been specifically recommended or mandated by one of our members that way we can be sure that we are guiding you based on the best possible recommendations.

The information on WATC is provided and supported by our network of 150 "City Angels". The "City Angels" are professional women spread across the City & Canary Wharf who agreed to be part of an informal network to grow the site for the benefit of others. WATC are very proud to have such a huge breath of experience across it's virtual team as it is through this experience we will continue to provide you with recommendations and guidance across a wide range of female related topics.

Our membership across the City & The Wharf is increasing at a staggering rate and we love the fact that everytime a new member joins us our knowledge base expands that little bit deeper. Our site is based on feedback and we encourage you to talk to us and share your experiences - it's you, our members that will make a success of WeAreTheCity.Com and we are very glad to have you and your experiences on board.

WATC stated back in April 08, however the official launch was at House of Fraser in September 08. The launch was supported by a large marketing campaign in local newspapers.

We are always happy to partner with like minded organisations and groups.

Both are predominantly from an IT background but have extensive experience in design, marketing, event management and communication.

The founders of WeAreTheCity are a husband and wife partnership who manage the site and events alongside professional careers in the City.
