Tell us a little bit about your network
NOI is a community of female achievers who regularly meet to champion each other and move forward together.
We launched in May 2015 and since then we have held 15 events and grown the community from 12 to 600+ women!
NOI was founded by Paola Garbini, mum, communications professional and gender equality blogger.
What is your network’s prime objective?
Our prime goal is to offer concrete help, inspiration and connections to all our members, so they can make their projects thrive.
How is your network helping women to progress in the workplace?
The NOI Club was born to help women advance, together. Our unique mix of women from the most varied work environments and backgrounds offers each member the chance to connect, share and learn from others’ experiences. Empowerment is our number one word and we embed it in anything we do.
What type of events does your network run?
We run small events where each participant can interact and be a vocal part of the session. Topics are chosen after surveying the NOI Ladies so that they are always relevant to the group. We invite inspiring speakers and the NOI ladies to share their stories, their journey and also their mistakes because it is all about learning and feeling safe in a place where you can really be you. We mix intellectual and practical content for a good balance of inspiration and skills learning.
What are the benefits of joining your network?
You will meet a fabulous group of women who are keen to know you and genuinely want to help. You will be able to swap skills and join an accountability group to see your project grow. You will enjoy stress-free networking and find friends. Not to mention serendipity!

What advice would you give to anyone who is joining a network for the first time?
Imagine you are about to enter a cozy room, where you can be yourself, grow your dreams, get inspired and inspire…holding a glass of wine (or juice, depending on your preferences!)
Any top tips for new networkers? Why is building your network important?
Introduce yourself in the NOI Facebook Group, show the #NOILadies who you are and what you are looking for. Do not be shy to ask for help and share interesting content. Come to one of our events and experience the unique atmosphere. You can do so much for yourself and the other ladies, by just being part of the group and offering to listen and help.
Is your network for senior individuals only? Do you have to be a particular level to join?
Any woman can join the NOI Club. We welcome everyone and need everyone to grow. One of the things we value the most is the diversity of background, experience, age and journey of our members.
Finally, what’s next for your network?
NOI is growing fast and we need funding to keep events accessible, reach out to a bigger audience and action on the list of dreams we have been writing since the beginning! We are also exploring new ways to help our members, especially those who cannot come to the in-person events. We cannot wait for all of this to come true and in the meantime we are in awe of what all of our members have achieved!
