Join women’s cancer charity, The Eve Appeal, and Dr Anita Mitra, working in obstetrics and gynaecology for an evening of taboo-tackling conversation and gynaecological cancer.
Following the recent and hugely successful launch of her debut book “Gynae Geek: your no nonsense guide to down there healthcare”, Dr Anita will be hosting a panel discussion that promises to be interactive and education.
On the night, Anita will be joined by:
- Dr Christine Ekechi, a London based consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician specialising in early pregnancy and acute gynaecology care, women’s health educator and advocate
- Karen Hobbs, who spends her days working as Team Eve’s Cancer Information Officer for our Ask Eve Service and by night performs stand-up comedy about her experience of being diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 24
The evening’s conversation will be guided by your questions, so come prepared with any and every gynae-related query for the panel to delve into and discuss.
Tickets are £10 for general admission or £20 with a copy of The Gynae Geek Book.
Talking openly and honestly about women’s health is at the heart of what The Eve Appeal does, they want to ensure that more women and men know the signs and symptoms for each of the five gynae cancers and feel confident talking about gynae health.
The Eve Appeal are thrilled to be working alongside Kindred Community, who are hosting this empowering evening.
