NatWest is hosting a unique week of evening events with the aim of inspiring and influencing the tech community with amazing speakers who are passionate about the benefits of a more inclusive workforce and can provide practical tools to help you face the challenges.

We want to empower both personal and organisational growth and create a vision for the future, along with our partners at IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Sapient Razorfish, Facebook, Blooming Founders, FemTech Global, Robojam , Stemettes, Swarm, TechFugees, Angel Academe, BNY Mellon and PWC..

On Monday, 2nd of October we look at ‘Future Growth’ – is there such thing as sustainable growth and can technology unlock a more diverse workforce? Ross McEwan, CEO of RBS, sets up the week with the economic view of a more inclusive future followed by a panel discussion chaired by Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest Commercial & Private Banking, to discuss the future and new models of growth.

‘Growing Businesses’ is the theme of the following evening discussing the issues and challenges female entrepreneurs face when looking for support, followed by a Dragons Den highlighting some exemplary startup technology companies with women founders (in partnership with Blooming Founders). Afterwards, there are networking and mentoring activities available for startups supported by IBM, Microsoft and Accenture.

Wednesday evening will focus on ‘Growing Minds’ and address culture change and pipeline strategy and approaches for handling difficult conversations, especially pertinent given the governments push in 2017 for gender pay gap reporting.  In parallel, for those who have yet to join the workforce,  a university careers fair and under 18s hackathon run by our partners at the world-renowned Stemettes will take place – meet incredible role models and witness the opportunities that are available out there for all interests and all skill levels.

The theme for Thursday, 5 October is ‘Personal Growth’ and focuses on the journey to becoming more resilient. We all face difficulties – but what does it take to be truly successful and build skills in negotiation to help you excel?

The week concludes on Friday and is focused on ‘Growing Great Companies’ where you’ll hear our speakers talk about how we can innovate and drive organisational change at scale with our keynote speaker Rashik Parmar, MBE, and three different perspectives on new ways of working. The conference closes with the Hackathon awards and a screening of our campaign to call for a more diverse and inclusive future.

Sign up to attend the evening/s of your choice or join us all week and be part of the change – tomorrow starts today.
