The Rising Star awards are a unique celebration of female talent below director level. The prestigious awards span 20 different industries and also include awards for a gender champions and company of the year. Founded in 2015, the awards were established to recognise the achievements of 1000 female future leaders by 2023. The 100 winners from this year’s awards will join an alumni of 450 previous award winners from the UK and India.

WeAreTheCity will be announcing their Rising Star winners at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Park Lane, W1 on 3 July 2019 from 18.00pm – 11.45pm.
Attendees can expect a celebration like no other! The evening will consist of an abundance of inspiration, entertainment, exceptional food and networking opportunities.
The awards will be celebrated at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, a stunning art deco property that boasts a most magnificent décor and ambience, based in heart of Mayfair
The evening will begin with a sparkling reception, followed by opportunities to network with over 400 individuals from a multitude of industries. Once seated, our guests will be welcomed by our awards host, Jane Hill from BBC News. You will enjoy a three-course meal and fine wine, especially chosen and prepared by the Sheraton’s award winning chefs.
Throughout the evening you will not only be inspired by our amazing winners, you will also be entertained by 1920’s girl band, Just the Tonic and soul sensation, Lemar, multi Brit and MOBO award winner and Magic Soul FM DJ. This is a celebration not to be missed!
As an organisation, WeAreTheCity are passionate about paying it forward and helping women in challenging circumstances to succeed. We are very honoured to be working with our charity partner, the Young Women’s Trust for this year’s awards. The Young Women’s Trust supports young women aged 18-30, especially those struggling to live on low or no pay, to get into work that is right for them.
There will be the opportunity to support the charity and their work. There are some wonderful prizes to be won and all proceeds will go towards providing coaching for the charity’s community.
Shortlisted individuals can attend the awards ceremony at the discounted rate of £175 plus VAT. All shortlisted individuals will receive an EventBrite invitation from WeAreTheCity.
Shortlisted individuals who are working in the public or charity sector or who are running a small business can attend the awards ceremony for £100 plus VAT. A further EventBrite invitation has been issued to all individuals who fall in to this criteria.
All other guests are able attend the winner’s ceremony for £250 plus VAT.
