Come and join Girls Talk London for their last event for 2016 with an evening of insightful, informative and inspiring conversation with influential women and men who have managed to rise up quickly in their careers to Senior positions within FTSE 100 businesses, media and the public sector.

Girls Talk London want you to end 2016 on a high and be ready to win for 2017! The end of the year is always a great way to reflect on our lives, business and careers. What went well? What didn’t? What lessons have we learned? What changes do we want to make? How can we do better for ourselves? How can we step up in our life and career in 2017? What do we want to do next?

There is a kick-ass panel of men and women who have managed to succeed and get promotions in typically male-dominated sectors such as TV/Entertainment, Telecommunications and the public sector.

This event will focus on how you can raise your game in 2017 and how to put together a strategic plan in place for success and progress in your career and life.

Their panel have defied the odds to break boundaries in their careers and rise up to get promotions and pay rises and recognition in multiple sectors.

This evening is perfect for anyone who wants to meet like-minded and supportive people, get motivated and encouragement for your career and life and for anyone who wants to get step up in their life.

Girls Talk London’s panel:

Irene Sanyauke, Interim Head of Nursing and Universal Children Services, Guy’s & St Thomas

In her current role Irene is responsible for managing a number of children services in the community as part of the Evelina Children Health Care and manages over 300 staff. She has over 30 years of experience in different roles working for the NHS, third, private and public sectors. Born in Zimbabwe she came to the UK at 18 years of age and went straight into studying for a degree in Nursing at Walton Hospital in Liverpool and Whittington Hospital in London. She has worked across multiple London boroughs that include Barking and Dagenham, Newham,The City of London ,Hackney, Lambeth, Southwark and Essex. Irene also has a BA degree in Social Science, BSc in Public Health Nursing and an Executive MPA at Southbank University. Irene has just been appointed as Head of Services for Health Visiting and Family Nurse Partnership for Kent Community Health NHS Trust which she will begin in December 2016.

Beatrice Nyamande, Hospital Director, Partnerships in Care

Beatrice is a Hospital Director working for an Independent Healthcare Organisation – Partnerships in Care. She is responsible for the operational and strategic functions of the hospitals which provide care for over 60 people in care with Mental Health problems and Learning Disabilities. Beatrice is responsible for the workforce of 185 staff .

Beatrice also carries out regulatory roles for the Nursing Midwifery Council ( NMC); Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is a lead reviewer for Quality Network for Mental Health Services (QNFMH). Beatrice has a degree in Nursing from Luton University and a Post graduate diploma in Business Administration from Greenwich University. She is due to complete her MBA in 2017. Beatrice also is a visiting lecturer for Anglia Ruskin University. A mother of three children she is a keen jogger who has completed two Race for Life 5k marathons and also enjoys yoga and jazz-exercise sessions.

Ria Hebden, Presenter on drive time for BBC, Eagle Radio and Smooth FM

Ria Hebden is a vivacious and tenacious presenter who has interviewed some of the biggest names in showbiz on the red carpet at the MOBO Awards for ITV2, Idris Elba at the Screen Nation Awards and most recently, Star Wars Actor, John Boyega for Scene TV. A recent nominee for ‘Favourite Online Presenter’ by the Digital Is Media Awards, Ria is passionate about covering events that celebrate diversity, champion women and inspire the younger generation.

Her mantra for life is ‘Carpe Diem’ an ethos which she epitomizes every single day. This year, Ria proudly launched her own production company under the same name, to independently present and produce her own creative ideas.In addition to presenting, Ria also writes for online music entertainment magazine, Flavour Mag and broadcasts live on multiple Drive time shows for the BBC, Eagle Radio and Smooth FM.

Ria’s recent career achievements include; hosting Power Players, an inspirational panel discussion with various trailblazing women from the Tech, Media and Music industries at Google UK for International Women’s Week; hosting the red carpet interviews as the official MOBO presenter at the 20th Anniversary of the MOBO Awards and working at the BBC on the BAME Expert Voices initiative (which was nominated for a European Diversity Award) where she shortlisted 105 experts specifically from ethnic backgrounds, to participate in an immersive day of media training, preparing them to make their debut in broadcasting.

Rory Peters, Director T&T Autoparts & Former Retail Regional Manager, O2

Rory Peters heads up his own company that exports car parts from the UK primarily serving the Caribbean & Africa giving these markets access to automotive parts cheaper and more efficiently than they have access to locally. Rory has previously worked in Telecoms for 10 years and has recently left a role with Telefonica UK where he was a Retail Regional Manager looking after 200 people in 19 stores. Previous to that he served two years with Vodafone UK as a Regional Support Manager responsible for various projects across London stores. He has also served as a Flagship Retail Store Manager at EE for 5 years and previous to that worked his way up to management from a Sales Advisor. Rory aims to pursue a future career in senior field management whilst working to grow his company. Rory also wants to get more involved in youth projects as well as public speaking as he aims to give back to the communities that have served him well.
