International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
This year the day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
City University London invites some of its own leading academics to discuss their research into gender equality, in particular whether they feel parity is possible. Is the situation improving in certain areas, will there be a sticking point and what could and should be done to break through the barriers?
Panel includes:
Dr Ruth Sealy – Lecturer and researcher in Organisational Psychology
Areas of expertise include Women in Leadership; Board composition; Role Models; Diversity and Intersectionality; and Corporate Governance.
Dr Amanda Goodall – Senior Lecturer in Management
Amanda’s research is on leadership and organisational performance.
Professor Lis Howell – Director of Broadcasting
Founder of the Expert Women on news campaign
We are delighted to welcome our Chair for the evening, Penny Marshall.
The event will be followed by a drinks reception to which all guests are welcome.
