Women in IT Week is an initiative to inspire more women to pursue positive career pathways in IT. By honouring the accomplishments of women in IT, together we can help bridge the gap of gender inequality within the sector.
What are we doing?
SITS – The IT Service Management Show will host a keynote panel discussion on the reasons why we should champion equality in IT. Taking place on 3rd June, the panel will be presented by Karen Ferris, the internationally renowned IT trainer, speaker and author.
Women accounted for 16% of the IT workforce
Women in IT Week will run from 1st – 5th June 2015 and we will be publishing ‘my story’ blogs every day throughout the week, all written by inspiring female leaders within the IT community. We want to share the journeys that today’s most successful women have taken, to help other women entering IT believe more in their own potential.
What can you do?
Did you find IT, or did IT find you? We are offering you the opportunity to have your story featured in our daily Women in IT Week blog posts. To contribute your story to our week long celebration, please submit your blog piece (up to 500 words) with the title “How my journey in IT began…”
