2020 has been a tough year for us all. Now it is more important than ever that we celebrate the people who have gone out of their way to make life better for those most in need.
Join UN Women UK at 6.30 – 8.00pm on Thursday 10th December for an exciting virtual evening bringing together leaders and activists in the gender equality and human rights movement. You can get your tickets here.
The event will be hosted by Sara Pascoe, and include a keynote speech from the former Prime Minister of Australia world renowned women’s rights activist, Julia Gillard (see one of her finest moments here). At the event, UN Women UK will be presenting special recognition awards for outstanding contributions to gender equality, as well as musical and artistic performances exploring womanhood and inclusion.
If you are able to make a donation, the proceeds from your ticket will fund programmes working with at-risk women and girls, to help them stay safe, retain access to paid work, and protect their families during the ongoing challenge of the pandemic. UN Women have had to urgently scale up this work in 2020, at the same time as losing funding due to the crisis, so your contribution is critical to allowing us to keep these programmes open.
