12/02/2020: Women in Finance Summit 2020

Women in Finance Summit 2020

As part of its well-established portfolio of high-level diversity events, many of which have enjoyed government support, City & Financial Global is delighted to be organising the 4th edition of the Annual Women in Finance Summit organised in partnership with Women in Banking & Finance and held in central London on the 12th of February 2020.

This high-profile forum builds on the success of the previous related events that City & Financial Global and its partners have held. For instance, the inaugural Women in Finance Summit, which took place on the 24 January 2017 and attracted 250+ senior FS industry delegates, government officials and regulators from the UK and beyond. For further information, I kindly refer you to the following video link. Another example is The Vote 100 Women Summit, held in London in last April, at which a member of the British Royal Family, Prince Edward’s wife, the Countess of Wessex, was a keynote speaker and participant.

What will be discussed this year?

  • Why gender balance is a business imperative for the City. What are the key components for a successful career in the financial services industry?
  • How to balance and adapt cultures and systems to meet the needs of 21st century employees and markets

  • The Buck stops here: The role of leadership. Leadership by innovation
  • Why talent is an issue today. Talent & agility: Upskilling for tomorrow

WeAreTheCity staff are all working remotely as per the UK government's advisory. We are always looking at ways we can support women in business remotely and have launched a series of FREE virtual events (WeAreVirtual) to help support everyone in their careers and their well being. This could not be possible without the support of our network and we are very thankful for the time given by all of our speakers at these sessions.
