20/06/2016: Apps for Good Awards 2016

Meet the top Apps for Good student teams competing to have their app launched on the market, and to bring Apps for Good’s 5th birthday celebrations to a close.

Agenda:

– 6.00-7:30pm Marketplace – Meet the finalists & vote for your favourite app idea

– 7:30-8:30pm Awards Ceremony – Hear the winners announced

The Apps for Good Awards celebrate the next generation of problem solvers and digital makers: young people who have created an app that tackles an everyday problem or issue they’re passionate about.

The winning teams – selected from our 25,000 students and judged by our formidable panel of Dragons – will become real world entrepreneurs, working with professional development agencies to launch their app on to the market.

The Apps for Good Awards 2016 are made possible by the generous support of EE, Salesforce.org, Samsung, SAP, Thomson Reuters and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park along with Capgemini, SapientNitro and 123-reg.

About Apps for Good

Apps for Good Logo

Apps for Good is an education movement that is powering a generation to change their world with technology. We want to transform education in order to help young people thrive in a tech driven future. We partner with teachers in schools and learning centres to deliver our course to young people from 8 -18 years of age. Students work together as teams to find real issues they care about and learn how to solve them using technology. Since 2010 Apps for Good has been delivered to over 50,000 students in more than 1,000 schools across the UK and internationally.
