Attend a private screening of Miss Representation, a documentary which highlights the pervasive effects of the media on the perception of women in power. The film challenges the media’s limited and mainly disparaging portrayals of women and girls which makes it difficult for women to attain positions of power based on their skills – and still feel good about themselves.

The evening is hosted by our Show Up & Sparkle blogger Kay White and following the private screening there will be a panel discussion to bring forward the effects on our own careers and those of the young women and girls growing up in this culture. Our Founder, Vanessa Vallely, will join Kay on the panel together with Jan Floyd-Douglass, Vice President of United Nations Women UK, the benefitting charity for the evening.

Tickets are limited and the event will be hosted in a private cinema in central London and will include light refreshments before and after the screening.
