Barbara Frost has been Chief Executive of WaterAid UK since September 2005. During this time the organisation has increased its coverage from 15 to 24 countries of Africa and Asia and its income from £26 to £72m. Prior to joining WaterAid, Barbara was Chief Executive of Action on Disability and Development, and has also worked for international NGOs ActionAid, Save the Children and Oxfam Australia, based in Mozambique for four years and in Malawi for three.
Just last month, Barbara was awarded the prestigious Daniel Phelan Award for Outstanding Achievement 2015 at the annual Charity Awards. She received the honour for her dedicated commitment and influential contribution to international development, as well as her wider contribution to the sector as a deputy chair of the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations.
