Red Smart Women Week is a five-day boutique festival of events all centered around empowering women to achieve their goals and ‘be a better you’. Whether you are looking to boost your career, grow your own business, make contacts, learn new skills, or simply be inspired – there is something for everyone.
This year, in association with Jaguar, Red is planning an exciting programme of power breakfasts, business masterclasses, fitness events, beauty panels, style talks and networking nights in a beautiful central London townhouse all dedicated to helping women live smarter.
To open the week, Red is hosting a special Career Shifters Launch Party on Tuesday 26 September to celebrate women who have successfully changed their careers from newspaper editor-turned-chef Lisa Markwell and Smythson creative director-turned-fashion entrepreneur Samantha Cameron to Maureen Chiquet, once the CEO of Chanel, now a self-help author.
As part of 2017’s programme, Red is running a special Women in STEM lunch with Jaguar to help raise the profile and celebrate the achievements of women who are at the top of their game and are paving the way for a new generation.
Panelists include Dr Selina Wray, an Alzheimer’s Research UK scientist at UCL, Roma Agrawal, structural engineer at AECOM and one of the brains behind London’s Shard, Michelle Mortiboys, vehicle line director at Jaguar and Lauren Sager Weinstein, chief data officer at TFL.
There will also be a Business Bootcamp to give guests advice on how to build a business in a day. The morning will focus on how to develop your business idea into a reality and the afternoon is all about discovering how to take the next steps with your newly-started endeavour.
A variety of speakers will be taking part in the day who will be providing expert advice, including:
- How to scale your business with Rebecca and Clare Hopkins, founders of Balance Me Natural Skincare
- How to hire (and manage) the right people with Vanita Parti MBE, founder of Blink Brow Bars
- How to get your side hustle off the ground with Chris Guillebeau
- How to build your brand with Jo Glynn-Smith, VP of Marketing at Pandora
- How to get ahead using social media with Selfish Mother Molly Gunn
