I hope to be seen by my peers as a capable and passionate individual with a strong drive to succeed. I feel that my positive character has allowed me to build strong, lasting & mutually beneficial business and personal relationships. My experiences throughout my personal and professional life have taught me to become extremely self-aware, continuously develop my own skills and grow as a woman in the workplace. If someone tells me that I might not have the ability to achieve a goal, I tend to accept the challenge with enthusiasm and push myself to achieve it. I consider myself to have a nice nature and will often share my tools for success with my colleagues in mentoring and advice for best practices.
I attended Leeds Metropolitan University where I completed an English Literature and Creative Writing Degree and graduated in 2012 with high 2:1. After university, I worked in Sales for a top technology industry firm, before deciding to make the career move into Technology and Digital Recruitment. I now work for La Fosse Associates, and have taken ownership of the Regional Digital & Development capability and have built this market in La Fosse with a strong sense of determination and passion!
I am heavily invested in charitable affairs and am a proud Board Member on the Byte Night Charity board for the North West. Byte Night is a National sleep out event which is Action For Children’s biggest Annual fundraiser – having raised over 1.1 million in 2014. In the past I have organised a number of successful charity events such as a Fashion Catwalk in 2012 which raised more than £1000 for the Harrogate Theatre Renovation and I have recently been looking at starting a support group for young Adults with OCD to give them the courage to succeed in the working world.
The last thing you should know about me – I don’t believe in the words “I Can’t!”
