We’re looking for talented women who want to work for an organisation that welcomes a diverse and flexible workforce supporting its people throughout their career.

Back to Business is a 16 week paid senior internship programme, starting in November 2016, aiming to encourage senior professional women to restart their career after an extended break.

This programme supports our diversity and inclusion agenda of increasing the proportion of its senior female talent, but is open to all.

The programme is designed to help you transition back into the work environment and give you an opportunity to upgrade your skills. Our Back to Business programme will provide:

  • A week long induction with your peers
  • A dedicated Partner Sponsor
  • A member of your assigned team to shadow and help you with your initial transition back
  • The opportunity to work on real client projects
  • Touch points throughout the programme to see how you are getting on
  • Potential opportunities to become permanent at the end of the programme

The programme will also give you the opportunity to develop new relationships, broaden your professional networks and meet with other programme participants, as well as people in your respective business area.

You’ll have a chance to make a real impact and contribute to our business with continued support throughout. You’ll also have opportunities to explore careers at PwC and broaden your professional network.

At the end of the 16 weeks there may be an opportunity to become permanent depending on your performance and your desire to continue with us.

Business Areas

We have places on our 16 week Back to Business programme in the following areas:

Deals

Our Deals business is made up of Business Recovery Services (BRS), Corporate Finance (CF), Forensic Services and Transaction Services (TS). We focus on the transactions and crisis elements of our business from strategic public office procurement advice, insolvency of underperforming businesses, international take-over bids to economic crime investigations. Our client base is wide, including government offices, Private Equity Houses, family businesses and multinational conglomerates.

Skills/Experience of interest:

M&A, Financial advisory, Valuations, Data Analytics, Modelling, Due Diligence (financial & commercial), Procurement, Supply Chain, Operational Improvement, Turnaround projects, Disputes, Forensics Accountants or Lawyers. European Languages, ACA or CFA is desirable.

Consulting

Our Consulting team comprises experts in a number of fields including Management Consulting, Technology and Strategy. We deliver practical, insightful advice that gets straight to the heart of the big business issues, making a real impact on the bottom line. We drive true business transformation for our clients which delivers quantifiable benefits. Whichever part of Consulting you join, you’ll help organisations of all shapes and sizes grow faster and work smarter.

Skills/Experience of interest:

Post-Deal (M&A) Integration, Finance Transformation, Operations Transformation (Process Improvement, Procurement and Supply Chain), Portfolio and Programme Management, HR Transformation, Sustainability and Climate Change, CIO Advisory, Digital, Emerging Technologies, Corporate Strategy, Insight and Analytics.

Audit

You’ll be responsible for the delivery of your engagements, ensuring high quality audit work and reporting. Our clients cover all sectors including retail, construction and property investment, manufacturing, media, financial services and technology, ranging in size from local, national to global level. We have a diverse client base and we work as a diverse team, welcoming people from a wide range of backgrounds. Our business has the breadth of skill and expertise, whilst using cutting edge technologies, to add real value for our clients.

Skills/Experience of interest:

Experience of executing audi engagements from start to finish, ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent, proven ability in leading audit engagements, including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments. Knowledge of International Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP advantageous.

Tax

The Tax business is comprised of Corporate & Indirect Tax , Human Resource Consulting and PwC Legal. In this fast changing world, the Tax Business are helping clients build a tax strategy for the future, leading the way in assurance and pioneering the integration of governance, risk and control management with specialist tax delivery. Tax take a complete approach to tax management. They integrate people, processes and technology, helping the clients enhance their tax management oversight whilst providing insight.

Skills/Experience of interest:

Tax or Accountancy Compliance skills, HR Professionals with a client facing background, Qualified Solicitors keen to work within a Professional Services company, Qualified Tax professionals with either Indirect or Deals experience or Tax Professionals with a focus on either Corporate or Private Clients.
