Enter and share ideas promoting more women to our boardrooms.

We invite you to enter the prestigious Breaking the Mould Awards, in partnership with the Institute of Directors and in association with the 30 per cent Club and The Mail on Sunday. Time is running out, you need to enter by 31st August and be available for filming on 18th September in case you make the short-list. Please log onto www.breakingthemouldawards.co.uk and submit a free entry. These awards seek to recognise forward-looking companies and professional bodies with schemes in place to ensure women are well represented in their boardrooms.

Three years ago Lord Davies of Abersoch, Patron of the Breaking the Mould Awards, recommended to government that 25 per cent of board positions should be filled by women by 2015. Unless business voluntarily moves towards these targets for better balanced boardrooms, government will intervene. New corporate thinking is needed and that is what the Breaking the Mould Awards seek to recognise.

The Breaking the Mould Award winners will be unveiled at a celebration dinner at the Institute of Directors on November 4th when Business Secretary Vince Cable will deliver the keynote speech, Lord Sugar’s former right-hand woman Dr Margaret Mountford will announce winners and classical singing superstar Laura Wright will perform.

Sponsors include: BNY Mellon, Diageo, Vodafone, Aberdeen Asset Management, Asda and Institute of Directors.
