We are Thespians Blog – Jennifer Reischel

Jennifer Reischel is a modern day thespian with an unashamed passion for anything, everything and anyone artistic. Originally following her first love (the piano) she ended up training in musical theatre at drama school (aka boot camp) and after exploring different performing avenues, somehow found herself working in Risk Management (yes, a random detour indeed!) whilst pursuing theatre criticism and having a book published. From touring nationwide in a play with soap stars to singing with Roger Moore, Josh Groban and Vanessa Redgrave at the Royal Albert Hall, she was one of the last to perform a cabaret at (the fondly missed) Pizza on the Park and also made a (very) brief appearance in comedy motion picture Run for your wife starring Denise van Outen and Danny Dyer. Following on from launching unique video audition website The Stage Castings, her working home is now the St. James Theatre, where she is surrounded by a whole host of inspiring creatives. was founded in April 2008 and launched in September 2008, with the aim of providing information to women who wish to progress in their careers via networking and events.  The concept of the website is to provide services that not only help women develop themselves both personally and professionally, but also contributes to a wider strategy of supporting working women in the UK more broadly by bringing together the charity sector and potential entrepreneurs on to one common platform.
