Could you help someone sleeping rough to survive this winter? | SCT Winter Appeal 2019

SCT Homeless WInter Appeal 2019SCT are providing winter survival kits to our rough sleeping community to ensure they stay warm and protected through the winter months.

Homelessness is getting worse. Nearly two homeless people died every day in 2018 – that is 726 people in total. And many don’t make it through the coldest months of the year.

SCT see around 500 people visit their Drop-in every year, and they have seen them struggle through the cold months of winter. For this reason, this winter they are giving away essential items which will hopefully help the homeless to survive the icy weather.

To do this, they rely on donations – which will be doubled by a private donor!

You can donate here.

If you can’t afford to donate, you can sign up to their newsletter and help spread the word about the appeal via social media.

The rising homeless death toll is a somber reminder that more needs to be done to tackle homelessness. So let’s shout about it!
