Then why not allow yourself to Ask, Believe and Receive!
Week 1 – ASK
It’s a New Year. It’s 2013! Have you started the New Year with a few new resolutions? Are they the same as last year? Will you achieve them? And is this year going to be any different?
Are these some of your New Year’s resolutions?
- Get organised – write up my ‘to-do’ list
- Get fit & healthy
- Network more – meet new people, try some new women’s networks
- Make more money – what else can I do? What other tools can I use for my job?
I’m sure you might think this is nothing new for me but what if I share some thoughts with you so you really get what you want this year! Are you ready for a real change?
Have you allowed yourself some space and time or are you filling your diary too fast already?
Don’t worry I can simply help you change it.
Remember there is no such thing as control – it is simply about choice, so why not choose to start your day differently. Take a positive stance and remind yourself that every new day is a chance to change your life!
So just stop everything for a second, pour that glass of water or cup of tea or indeed a glass of wine and enjoy an inspirational moment for a few minutes.
As a woman you are expected to be a wife, lover, mother, housekeeper, business-woman and not forgetting looking after yourself and looking fabulous but most of us feel we have to do it all ourselves so now I’m simply going to suggest you take on a different viewpoint and ASK, BELIEVE and RECEIVE.
Over the next three weeks I show you how to Ask and then Believe and Receive.
Let’s address ASK first. Ask for help and guidance, whether this is at home or in the workplace or just looking at life. Acknowledge how valuable your time is and why not consider the following:
Home
Why not ask for help, get someone to clean the house, do the ironing, help with the children or help with dinner. Ask your husband or partner to allow you some ‘ME’ time, just for you where you can read a book and not be disturbed, go for a walk, enjoy the gym or even have that little pamper you promised yourself. Make sure you have quality time with your family or friends each week. Your inner circle of friends will always be a good source of support.
Work
A good work-life balance is one in which you work to live, not live to work. We all need to work to pay the mortgage or the rent, put food on the table, and provide for our families. But when you are working so much that you don’t have time to spend with the ones you love, what good is all that money and all those lost hours with your loved ones really worth?
Sometimes we get so caught up in work that we forget about our lives and forget to prioritise what’s important. That’s normal. But you, and only you, are in charge of your work-life balance—not your boss. So look at what you do daily, ask for help, learn to delegate more – it will become easier. And finally if you are in job you don’t like then it is time to change it. Update the CV, put some energy into it and find the right agency to help. Check your existing contacts too. Only you can change it!
Life
New Year, new start but are you feeling a little flat. Well don’t worry January has the fated ‘Blue Monday’ which this year falls on the 21st Jan.– this is usually labelled as the most depressing day in the year. Now some people say is this really the case or is it a scam to make us book a holiday to have something to look forward to.
So why not take a minute and think about where you are at in your life? Where were you this time last year? Has it improved? What has changed? Do you feel better or worse? Explore some of these maybe with a good friend and see how you truly feel. Then allow yourself to dream big, its January 2014 and you have achieved so much in 2013, how fabulous does that feel, allow yourself to indulge in that beautiful energy and keep dreaming.
Orison Swett Marden said
‘All people who have achieved great things have been big dreamers’.
If you want to take it one step further and are ready for a change and need some help then it might be time to ask for help and consider a life coach. Someone who can help guide you to where you truly want to be, who can help you clear the blocks stopping you and to be there to hold your hand throughout the process. One key thing to remember is that the connection and energy with the person must feel right to ensure you get the positive vibe – choose well!
As Rhonda Byrne said
‘Ask once, believe you have received, and all you have to do to receive is feel good.’
I will leave you with the thought that you can create the vision of your life by simply allowing yourself to believe that in your innermost heart you must believe that you can succeed where others have failed. Surprise yourself and aim high!
