In the UK, women are on average paid less than men. The current pay gap between men’s pay and women’s pay is 19.1%, which means for every £1 a man earns, a woman earns 81p. New regulations under Section 78 of the Equality Act will require employers with more than 250 employees to report gender pay data, and we are working with the government during their consultation on what the exact requirements will be.
We want to hear from members and supporters of our gender equality campaign about what you really think about the gender pay gap and this new legislation. We would like you to complete this short survey and hope that your insights will help us to work with employers and with government to close the gender pay gap faster. It is important to us that we hear the views from you as employees and as members of the public.
The survey is open until midnight on Sunday 6th September 2015 and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
