Entry Level Role: Junior Analyst – Europe, | Lloyds, London

The remit of the Market Intelligence team is to provide world class market intelligence on priority international markets and Lloyd’s position within those markets. This will be used by the Corporation, managing agents and Lloyd’s brokers (where possible). To help develop a deeper understanding of the Lloyd’s market’s strengths and weaknesses in key geographic regions.

The Role

To help provide world class market intelligence on priority international markets and Lloyd’s position within those markets. This will be used by the Corporation, managing agents and Lloyd’s brokers (where possible).

To help develop a deeper understanding of the Lloyd’s market’s strengths and weaknesses in key geographic regions.

To lead the Market Intelligence Account Management function for Europe. Build, roll out and enhance relevant market intelligence for Europe. Act as an effective relationship manager between London contacts (Corporation, Managing Agents and Brokers) and Country Managers in Europe.

To help provide content on Europe to MI Soft Intelligence Executive to roll out to the market.

To support the International Market Development Agenda through project work and support for events (CEO / Chairman Briefings) & Country Plan support in conjunction with the Market Development Team / Country Managers

What Will You Do?

Market Intelligence Products:

Scoping, delivery & maintenance of market, competitor & class of business analysis through Market Intelligence product suite:

• Compare Countries (including Reference Sheet maintenance)

• Country Profiles (including Country Data maintenance)

• Market Presentations

• Country Roundups

• Class Review

Relationship Manager:

Manage relationships between Europe and London contacts.

Product Development:

Work closely with MI Analytics Specialist / MI Data Analyst on product enhancements and automisation of MI reports & tools.

Engagement Strategy:

Assist Senior Colleagues and Country Managers where appropriate to build & develop the team’s engagement with internal & external stakeholders in the Lloyd’s Market.

Project Management:

Help achieve the goal of “˜Better MI’ by offering expertise & practical input and see projects through to successful completion.

What You’ll Need

*Entry level Analyst with understanding of London Market / commercial (re)insurance, exposure to overseas markets and Europe, in particular, is an advantage.

*The ability to demonstrate strong analytical and research skills as well as strong written and presentation skills.

*A high level of competence in the use of IT with experience and/or ambition to develop skills in management information tools (Business Objects etc.) for the storage, analysis and presentation of data and information.

*Effective relationship builder with senior Corporation and market participants.

*Another European language would be an advantage.

*The ability to deliver individual Market Intelligence projects / Market Development projects.
