Careers Club & WeAreTheCity would like to invite you to join them for an evening of learning and networking – Building Resilience: Be honest about the impact of stress on your performance and take immediate action with Kate Franklin, Co-Founder and Director of White & Lime
Wednesday 10 October 2018, 5.45pm – 8.45pm at MUFG, Ropemaker Place, 25 Ropemaker Street, London, EC2Y 9AJ
This interactive session is supportive, validating and hard-hitting. It challenges audience members to be honest with themselves about the impact of stress on their performance – and to take immediate action to build resilience.
Almost half of UK employees feel under pressure at work at least once a week and increasing numbers are experiencing excessive pressure every single working day (CIPD, 2017.) 40% of the US population believe that it’s impossible to succeed at work and have a balanced family life (Deloitte, 2017).
Kate is a recovering workaholic herself. She aims to provoke thinking and offer hope: her belief is that even in the most challenging environments it is possible to keep a clear head and avoid burnout. Kate’s company, White & Lime, has been researching resilience and providing focused coaching and group workshops since 2005. White & Lime content is based on practical business experience and the latest thinking in mindfulness, neuroscience and coaching. It is focused on enabling people to rise out of fire- fighting, thrive at work and have a fulfilling and balanced life.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the physiological processes of overwhelm and have a been offered a healthy way to respond
- Be more aware of how to manage energy and performance through improved nutrition, sleep and exercise
- Have talked confidentially to a workshop partner about their own situation in order to immediately apply this learning
- Have identified ‘one small change’ in their micro-habits that they can implement immediately to create a more enjoyable experience of working life
