Event Details

Are you a female creative working alone, returning to work after caring for family, or just feel side-lined?

Do you lack the self-confidence to express your ideas or promote yourself in the workplace?

Do you want to explore your funny bones to help develop creativity?

Are you aware that the top-rated advertisements use humour?

Did you know that less than 3% of ads depict women in leadership roles, being intelligent or having a sense of humour?

Are you a budding comedy performer or writer who would like to collaborate with creatives?

We’re part of much bigger seed change in the world of creativity, marketing and advertising and delighted to be back with another of our brilliant HERlarious events. With our unique blend of workshops, panel discussion and, of course, a showcase of live stand up comedy, this event is designed to reboot your inner creativity and boost your confidence.

This event is open to anybody in the creative and communications industries who would like to express their ideas more confidently and freely using some of the tricks of the comedy trade.

If you are a first-jobber, intern, returner to the workplace or simply in need of a change of direction then a comedy fix is guaranteed to boost your confidence, whatever your level!

We can promise you a fun interactive evening mixing with comedy professionals where you can get valuable advice on how to ‘perform’, work independently, bring your ideas to life and develop techniques to communicate more effectively. We will cover creating your own material, interpreting body language, storytelling, developing a strong narrative and managing your health and wellbeing in an increasingly competitive business environment.

On the night you will be able to take part in two workshops to boost your skills and confidence levels.

Stop Selling Yourself Short
How to work well alone
What is confidence anyway?
Face the fear and just do it!

Every workshop will be facilitated by a team of performers, writers, film-makers, content creators, producers and directors with first-hand experience of the comedy industry.

Panel Discussion: has the portrayal of women in TV hits like Fleabag and Killing Eve changed the narrative?
Plus, live comedy, of course! Introducing Laura Smyth, Stage Award winner of the 2019 Funny Women Awards.
We are thrilled that LinkedIn UK has agreed to host this event in their fabulous Central London office and welcome our new partners, IAAUK and Mediatel Events.
