Event Details
We can do more to prevent breast cancer. It will effect 1 in 8 women in the UK at some point in the lives. 1 in 5 will be under the age of 50. Sadly, not all breast cancers are preventable but more than 1 in 4 breast cancer cases are.
This means there is much more we can do, more lifestyle changes we can make, more research we can fund and more polices we can encourage that will help prevent the preventable.
Prevention Week is all about shining the light on breast cancer prevention and inspiring people to protect their health, by understanding what increases their chances of getting breast cancer and how they can reduce their risk.
It’s about dropping some of things that are bad for you and switching to more of the things that are good for you. What you eat, drink and how you treat your body can powerfully reduce your risk and how you feel about your life.
