Hear how can we ALL include, inspire and support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women into public life.
This event will be hosted by Councillor Nanda Manley-Browne who leads the 50:50 Diversity Team.
Nanda together with our Diversity Coordinator Clarise Pattison runs 50:50’s monthly “BAME Connect & Reflect Sessions” offering bespoke support for women from diverse backgrounds who want to progress in politics and public life.
The panel will include inspirational women from diverse groups and some who have won seats. They will tell us about how they overcame barriers and hurdles, such as discrimination, misogyny and racism to shatter glass ceilings.
This is your chance to ask panellists about how to to make an impact and hear from each party about the training and mentoring available. Hear directly from panellists about their journey, what keeps them going and succeeding.
