Your work comeback covered in inspiring, monthly problem-solving conversations with caching psychologist Jessica Chivers and guest experts.
Jessica Chivers – psychologist and author of Mothers Work! How to Get a Grip on Guilt and Make a Smooth Return to Work – plus special guests, Katy Fridman and Simmone Gardiner, will answer your questions on HOW TO HAVE FLEXIBLE WORKING CONVERSATIONS & MAKE FLEX WORK
Simmone is a People Development manager and trainee coach. She joined ITV in 2019 and has worked on projects across the business including career development, flexible working and transitional support. She’s taken on different roles during her time there but after spending time in a generalist HR role to understand the ins and out of the business is now focused on helping those at ITV grow and develop their careers so they can reach their full potential. After many career highs and a few lows Simmone wants to empower everyone to be able to see what they’re capable of, not to be scared to shared their big goals and to reach for them.
In 2018 Katy set up a Facebook Group, Flexible Working People, which has grown into a powerful, highly engaged community of over 45k people with a shared mission to change the world of work and to support people on their flexible working journey.
Having worked her way up the corporate ladder, Katy’s roles were made redundant after her first maternity leave, and then again after her second. Flexible working options for women in business at that time were lacking, and she became frustrated that she was unable to continue the career that she loved, on flexible terms. Having suffered silently with a long term chronic condition, she knew that her work life balance needed to shift. Realising that she was not alone, she began a journey championing the cause for the many other people just like her.
Flexible Working People is now a live talent platform, connecting people looking flexible work with companies looking to access highly capable talent for part time or flexible jobs.
