Everywoman technologyis campaignBe a role model – share your story with thousands of women.

Ahead of the inaugural everywoman Forum 2015: Advancing Women in Technology on 17 March, everywoman has launched a campaign to engage women in technology.

“This everywoman Forum is a splendid opportunity, both to celebrate and learn from female role models in the IT sector. I want to see all our talent in science, technology and engineering fully utilised.” – The Rt Hon. David Cameron MP, The Prime Minister

A 2014 report by the research firm Gartner has shown that the percentage of women taking a leadership role in technology has remained largely static at 14% since 2004.

The #TechnologyIS campaign is asking everyone across the industry – male and female, from IT professional to start-up founder – to record and upload a 15 second video to Instagram stating what technology is to them. everywoman will showcase these videos to thousands of girls and women across social media and at the everywoman Forum 2015, demonstrating the exciting breadth and diversity of the sector with a view to trigger a passion for a career in technology.

To be part of this you simply need to record a 15 second video that says what technology means to you and upload it to Instagram using the hashtag #TechnologyIS. Discover the CEOs, Vice Presidents and members of the technology community who have taken part. We hope you lend your voice to this exciting campaign.
