Flexible role of the week: Part Time Senior Software Engineer/Developer (Java)

• The purpose of this role is to take ownership of all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications, Performing Hands-on architecture , design and development of systems , as well as writing code & API specs . Development of deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems will also be important. As well as working with technical managers you will mentor developers and have management responsibility for 2 to 3 engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a number of years of software development experience under their belt and be well versed in Java application design and testing. Ideally you will have experience of working within an “Agile” environment (although not essential) and be at home with working in a collaborative, fast paced, team working environment. Multiple channel experience would also be an asset (but not essential) as is a proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software.

Based on the South Coast, within easy access of Central London, this role is extremely flexible. Options include: part-time, some home-working, shortened hours, job share.
