Recommended Podcast: Freelance Feels

Freelance Feels podcast Jenny Stallard

Freelance Feels is ‘the podcast for humans who work for themselves’, where freelance lifestyle journalist and founder of Freelance Feels Jenny Stallard meets different self-employed guests for a cup of tea and a good chat about their freelance wellbeing, the challenges they face and their successes.

With honest, relatable anecdotes, they discuss all things freelance and mental health, from whether you’re a fraud if you have a fixed-term contract, to sick pay (or lack of it), the importance of exercise and using the ‘actual phone’. Freelance tribes, chasing invoices, finding new clients and imposter syndrome also come up, alongside extreme networking.

Guests so far are Marianne Power, author of self help memoir Help Me!, and Felicity Cloake, Guardian food columnist and author of One More Croissant for the Road.

Upcoming guests include author of Through the Wall, Caroline Corcoran, founder of fashion label Radish, Lisa Piercy, and writer and broadcaster Amy Nickell.
