From overwhelm and stress to outrageous success in one simple step

woman-stressed-out-thumbnailA staggering 27% of women report that they never feel free from stress, and a recent Mind survey found people reporting that work is the main cause of stress. But there’s good news. You’re about to discover the true cause of stress, and how understanding it can clear your mind and open your path to outrageous success!

So what’s the true source of stress? To answer this question, we first need to look at some commonplace occurrences. Have you ever had the experience of…

  • Watching a movie with a friend, and one of you loves it while the other one thinks it’s just OK, or even rubbish?
  • Hearing two people describe getting a bad hairstyle, but for one it was the end of the world while the other took it in their stride?
  • Knowing two people who do exactly the same work, have a similar workload and maybe even the same boss, but who experience completely different levels of stress or ease when the pressure’s on?

What accounts for the fact that with exactly the same circumstances, one person thrives while the other struggles?

Your feelings don’t let you know about your circumstances; your feelings let you know about your moment-to-moment thinking.

It can certainly seem like your feelings are letting you know about something other than Thought in the moment, but that’s not possible. We’re always living in the feeling of Thought in the moment, 100% of the time. Life only works one way; our experience is created from the inside-out (if you doubt this, google Hermann Helmholtz and read about the neurology pioneer who discovered the biology behind this in 1852).

So what’s the true source of stress? The true source of stress is the mistaken belief that you’re feeling something other than Thought in the moment. As soon as you believe your feelings are coming from “out there” in space and time (Eg. Your boss, your job, your bank balance, your relationship, last week’s argument, next week’s presentation etc), you’re thrown into the victim role, and your head fills up with a frantic to-do list in an attempt to get the external world under control. And while we are all vulnerable to this “outside-in” misunderstanding, there’s a simple way to wake up from this illusion and start experiencing less stress, more wellbeing, better performance and bigger results: deepen your understanding of the principles behind clarity.

You see, you’re evolved for success. You’re at the spearhead of evolution, and have been optimised through hundreds of thousands of generations and millions of years to be wildly successful here on planet earth. Just as your childhood learning about the (invisible) fact of germs has had a profoundly positive effect on your physical health and wellbeing, learning about the (invisible) fact of the principles behind clarity will have a profoundly positive effect on your psychological and emotional health and wellbeing. We’re optimised for reality, and we work brilliantly when we understand how reality works, but we struggle when we slip into a misunderstanding. Deepen your understanding of the principles behind clarity, and you’re going to start experience a clear mind, more time, richer relationships, better performance and bigger results.
