Innocent drinks founders invest in new kids company founded by ex Yahoo executive

VCDbox-1Innocent Drinks founders Richard Reed, Adam Balon and Jon Wright have invested in innovative new company, Toucan Box that inspires creativity and curiosity in kids.

Founded in 2012 by Virginie Charles-Dear, ex-yahoo executive and Mother of two pre-school children, Toucan Box provides parents with children aged 3 to 7 years old the opportunity to create and play together in an educational way.

According to the Innocent Drinks’ founders, who have set up an investment house, Jam Jar;

‘‘We invest where there is an exceptional team, idea and plan; Toucan Box has all 3. Parents love it for being a simple yet innovative way to entertain and educate their kids. Kids cannot wait until their next box arrives! We’re hugely excited about the good this business can do and how big it can become.”

Innocent Founders, Richard Reed, Adam Balon and Jon Wright launched their business with £500 as young graduates. Their lucky break came when a millionaire invested £250,000 in their idea. Now, they’ve done the same for Toucan Box, believing in the growth potential of this exciting new business concept.

Every month a Toucan Box is delivered straight to your door with all the ideas, instructions, materials and tools to create fun and hands-on projects that both parents and children will enjoy. Toucan Box removes the stress of pre-planning and shopping for materials, enabling families to spend quality time building, imagining, and creating together.

With themes ranging from bugs to outer space, super heroes, weather etc. each box is designed to stimulate children’s creativity and curiosity and encourage key development skills such as concentration, numeracy, fine and gross motor skills, and problem solving. Activities are tailored to suit each child’s developmental stage, and the content of the boxes differ accordingly. Each box contains everything needed to keep children engaged for hours, including all the materials to complete at least 4 projects, colourful step by step instruction manuals, and a book.

Toucan Box subscriptions are available online at www.toucanbox.com for £19.95 per month with free shipping.
