My typical day includes many things. As a Psychologist, I conduct therapy sessions daily. I also mentor a group of children and spend time with them daily. I take them around the city in efforts to expose them to different experiences, cultures and individuals. As a corporate event planner, I coordinate, plan and host events in various cities across the world. I am also a public speaker and I speak at various conferences, universities and events in efforts to empower individuals across the globe. As the Founder of the Student Emergency Assistance, Incorporated I have planned events and conducted public speaking in various cities including London, Marseille, Atlanta, New York and New Orleans with various celebrities and sponsors like MTV and Bravo TV. As I have knowledge on various topics and many fields, I also work as a consultant for several individuals and organizations.
What did you study or what experience did you obtain in order to get in to your current role?
I attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia for a Bachelors degree in Psychology. While at Spelman, I commenced the S.E.A. scholarship fund where I raised over $15,000 and awarded 5 scholarships to students at risk of expulsion because of a lack of financial resources. Through this scholarship fund, I gained fundraising experience as well as public speaking and event planning. I also received a Masters in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Kings College London and am working on my second Masters in Global Entrepreneurial Management from the University of San Francisco, where I am studying and working in Spain, Asia and California over the next year.
The most valuable experience is seeing growth and positive change in the youth
What do you most enjoy about your role?
The most valuable experience is seeing growth and positive change in the youth that I serve and work with. There are no words to express how overjoyed I am when I see that my work has not been in vain.
Can you tell us a little bit about what is great about working for yourself?
The best part in working for myself is my flexible schedule as well as diverse events that fill my schedule. In one week, I can attend events with political forces, host an event, speak at an event, have a radio interview, be interviewed for magazines, mentor youth in the city, plan an event, conduct therapy and work with CEO’s on my next business plan. There is no repetition in my life and I never know what each day, event or meeting holds.
Do you network either internal or externally?
I network every day and all over the world. I do not limit myself to one group or setting as I feel that everyone has something to offer. It’s best to have a group of individuals who are talented in different fields so that when you start a business you have people that can do many different things to assist.

Tell us about your own career aspirations?
My biggest aspiration for my life and career is to follow God’s will for me. I’ve realized that my plans are small and limiting, whereas what God has for me is grand. I aim to let God lead my life. I do want to commence an international consulting firm, author books, obtain a doctorate in Theology & be the President of a University; however, I am seeking God’s face in efforts to move in the way and time that He wants me so that I may reap the most fruitful blessings.
What advice would you give to someone wanting a career in your profession?
Start by giving back to others and you will discover what you are truly passionate about. Allow God to lead you and be undaunted because where there is elevation there are obstacles. Romans 8:28
