ellenrussellpicHello I’m Ellen Russell. I left my comprehensive school with no qualifications and by the time I was 34 I was on my death bed with nothing to show for my life except chaos. It was at this point I started to turn my life around. I trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist and built up a very successful clinical practice.

For the last 25 years I have worked for clients from hundreds of major companies including: The NHS, the Probation Service,  Virgin Money, T Mobile, British Telecom, the BBC, a number of local radio stations,  Santander, Gateshead Council, Newcastle University and Newcastle College.  I am usually described as a dedicated, reliable professional person, delivering consistently high results in the work I do.

I became interested in etiquette as I was progressing with my career as a counsellor and psychotherapist.  The higher up the ladder I was going, the more I was feeling lost and out of my depth. I was becoming more active with the political, ethical and moral issues of my profession and having to travel in this country and abroad.

In order to feel more confident in these situations I decided to study etiquette and trained with one of the leading schools of etiquette in London.  I also did some training with an American company. I am now a Member of the Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers and a Certified Business and Teenage Etiquette Trainer.

I started to think that  there must be a lot of people out there like myself who aspire to go further with their lives and do not know where to start. This led to the setting up of the English School of Business and Social Etiquette which is now building an excellent reputation for delivering courses tailor-made and certified for Continued Professional Development at a very affordable price.

It is my dream to bring the etiquette training to a much larger audience than  is the case at the moment.

This would mean making what is usually very expensive, affordable  to  the majority of people. I would like to  emulate in etiquette what Andre Rieu has done for classical music.

I have studied intensively to ensure that my knowledge base is of the highest level when working with people. Below are some of my qualifications.

  • BSc. (Hons)
  • MSc. Integrative Psychotherapy
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling
  • Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling
  • Certificate in Education
