I used to think that this popular notion about men and ladies in heels was pure baloney until I glanced through Eckart Voland and Karl Grammer’s book – Evolutionary Aesthetics. Now you don’t have to get your self a copy but if their analysis seems right, it appears that wearing high heels, despite the potential uncomfortable downsides, could benefit us single girls especially during our dating journey. I mean let’s be honest, wearing heels is not the most comfortable thing (compared to flatties) especially when you wear it the whole day but it sure does a trick or two for the guys.
Check this out too… I was out last weekend on a ‘live research’ expedition Of course I wore my flatties and changed into my 5inch heels when I got to the event as we ladies do. It wasn’t long before a bunch of guys gathered around me.
“So what do you do, pretty lady?” one of the potentials asked.
“Well, I’m an author”, I chimed with a smile on my face.
“What do you write about” followed the next question from a rather shy looking but really really handsome guy. At this stage I was thinking, I really want to know this unseemingly shy guy so I tuned up the charm myself and coyly responded that I that I write about dating. That seems to be a good conversation opener for me these days
“Like the Sex and the City type?” came the next question.
“Not really” I responded and continued to explain that I take dating from a different angle (as you already know)
Well at this point the conversation was taking so many turns. I’m not sure how we got to this point but we somehow did – I asked them about the most attractive thing that they first notice in a lady – which is of course to inquire about what draws them to women? Almost all of them in their own way, said ladies in high heels! All of them!
Look, I am not saying that you break your feet or develop ugly sores on your feet by wearing heels all day. All I am saying here is that whether we think it’s right or wrong, guys do find ladies in heels superbly attractive. To them, it exudes confidence and also gives the appearance of an elongated leg and straight posture which seemingly lights a spark in their brain which makes them go…” I really really do like what I see” It’s just the way mother nature wired them. As I tend to say, it is what it is.
So what am I saying? In any market place, everyone would like their merchandise to appear like the best possible choice on the market! If there is some truth in this fact about ladies in heels (and there is) then I’m just saying, you gotta do what you gotta do girl.I’m just saying….Don’t hate the game
