JOB TODAY is looking for inspiring young women to take part in their Saturday Girl exhibition

Saturday Girl - JOB TODAY

JOB TODAY, the UK’s number one mobile hiring app, is looking for ten inspiring young women to take part in their upcoming exhibition, ‘Saturday Girls’.

The organisation is championing the female workforce of Britain by working with critically acclaimed British photographer, Lewis Khan, to showcase hard-working and inspirational young women that have embraced part-time and weekend work.

‘Saturday Girls’, a term coined decades ago that describes women using part-time, weekend work to enhance their lives, prospects and financial freedom, has evolved. Now Saturday Girls have become more entrepreneurial, tech savvy and may even juggle multiple part-time jobs to enjoy more flexibility.

This celebratory ‘Saturday Girls’ exhibition, will exhibit the evolution of job roles in Britain and showcase modern women that are killing it in the workplace.

JOB TODAY is looking for women, aged between 16 and 29, who have a weekend job to take part. They could be:

  • A student juggling multiple jobs around studies
  • A woman setting up her own business around a part-time job
  • A mother working weekends for flexibility around childcare
  • A woman who chose not to go to university and decided to build a career out of a weekend job

The ten chosen women will be photographed by Khan and will also receive their top three portraits and £200 each. The final date to apply is 28 August, and shooting will take place in September 2018. The date of the exhibition will be released next month.

Polina Montano, Co-Founder & COO of JOB TODAY said, “We are excited to celebrate the hard-working and inspirational young women of Britain with this Saturday Girls exhibition.”

“We will be capturing empowered young women who have embraced part-time and weekend work, that are using their job to really enhance their lives and share it with the nation.”
