Women of the World Festival is back at the Southbank Centre, London for another year of events celebrating women and girls.
Now in its sixth year, the festival is promoting and celebrating all the positives about being a woman or girl. This year features over 150 events, including talks, debates, live music, comedy, workshops, WOW Speed Mentoring and a WOW Market.
Throughout the week, you can join in with a wide range of topical debates on subjects, which include body image, women in business, transgender, race, disability and refugees.
WOW Friday, Saturday and Sunday all focus on targeted themes. Friday looks at creating an increased gender-equal society, while Saturday and Sunday will concentrate on bringing men and women together through sharing their stories.
WOW is a ‘global movement of festivals celebrating women and girls and taking a frank look at the obstacles they face.’ It was established in 2011 in London and has since expanded around the globe, with plans to take the festival to Iceland, Austria and other parts of the UK.
The Women of the World festival takes place at the Southbank Centre, London, and is supported by Bloomberg. The festival will bring together everyone from poets to students, and is open to people of all ages.
