What is Software Asset Management (SAM)?

The management of software applications within an organisation; Who is bringing them in? Who requires them? Are there other software options? How do we pay for them? and How many do we order?….the list goes on.

All of the above is around optimising the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal of software applications within an organisation.

Our Software Asset Manager requires some support on day-to-day tasks and wants to develop your understanding of Asset Management.

Some key things you can expect to accomplish while working with us:

  • Supporting the Software Asset ‘Lifecycle’ (from a customer request to deployment)
  • Managing and updating Software Asset Management tools
  • Assisting IT Software Asset Manager with regular software audits across the enterprise
  • Provide management reporting on the Software Asset Management function as and when required
