Job Title: Global Foreign Exchange Control Unit – Regional Manager

Overview:

The Level 1 Business Control Unit is part of the Board-sponsored 3 Lines of Defence (3 LoD) initiative in CBS. The team reports to the Fixed Income Currency (FIC) Chief Operating Office and its primary objective is to support the front office supervisors and traders by creating a robust control framework. The team’s mandate is to identify non-financial risks, define mitigation processes for those risks, as well as to monitor controls. As well as working closely with the trading desks, the group’s reach and interaction will be broad, including working closely with a new CBS central Control Business Unit and those functions forming the 2nd Line of Defence (2 LoD) within the 3 LoD programme.

Responsibilities include:

* Supporting implementation of 3 LoD programme in GFX.
* Monitoring the risk remediation/implementation on key issues.
* Ongoing monitoring, and creation of management reporting, and escalation process to Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) management team.
* Providing information and coordinating with 2 LoD and Central Control Unit on control information.
* Inputting definitions of control improvement programmes, and analysing the efficiency of spend on controls (including CB&S wide and bank wide programmes).

You will have:

* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
* Relevant experience in markets controls/supervisory activities in a relevant trading risk, middle office or control function.
* Project management experience within an investment bank (ideally).
* Strong analytical skills and a strong academic background.
* The ability to formulate clearly and present information in a compelling manner.

You will be:

* Able to work as part of a global team.
* Proactive and tenacious and able to partner with other teams to resolve issues where
necessary.
* Self motivated, and able to identify solutions to issues.
* Accurate with an eye for detail.
* Happy to question the status quo/existing control framework.
* Degree qualified (or similar qualification).
