If life gives you lemons, make lemonade

if life gives you lemons

Are you functioning at the surface, but underneath paddling away frantically to keep everything afloat, while juggling different priorities?

There seems to be so many twists and turns in life that take us by surprise. Life can be so daunting!

My life has taken me on an unexpected journey. I once found myself on a river in the rainforest in South America and suddenly something within me seemed to snap. From that moment, I started on a journey of self-discovery and personal development, that has led me to where I am today and moreover has enabled me to help others who have had a similar experience.

When I was in my teens and twenties I suffered with severe anxiety and struggled to cope. The ‘snap’ was a defining moment for me, a moment where I stopped and made a decision to look for help.

Having chartered these rather interesting and at times choppy waters I now believe that we can all find another way through life that doesn’t involve paddling frantically and getting scared. Rather it guides and supports us to a place where calmer waters lie and we can achieve a higher level of stillness and inner peace.

Alongside holding senior management positions whilst working in Ireland and Northern Ireland, during troubled times, I have also taken a personal development journey. This has led me to learn and practice a range of tools and techniques to help others. More recently I have returned to the UK and I now run my own business helping women work through their own unique issues.

In these blogs, I explore elements that can make a real difference to our quality of life. Sometimes I come up with more questions than answers, but this is the real world and it does at times get a bit gritty!

I hope you enjoy reading my blogs. I’ve also written a book, you can download a couple of chapters here. Feel free to follow me on LinkedIn and Facebook and have a look at my website for details of events I am running and to contact me if you would like more information.
