On Saturday 9 September, join The Eve Appeal as they Walk to Remember the women, and their families, who have been and are affected by gynaecological cancers.
You can choose to walk the full 26 mile route which begins in Bourton-on-the-Water, a stunning location to start this incredible challenge, and then heads out onto the Oxfordshire Way before joining the Diamond Way. The route then continues through Daylesford and Adlestrop and then into Lower Oddington.
Alternatively, you can pick the 13 mile route and join the intrepid marathon distance trekkers at Lower Oddington for a joint lunch before setting off together along the Macmillan Way and then onto the Gloucestershire Way and Warden’s Way. The final part of the challenge sees us join the path along the River Windrush before arriving in beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water for a triumphant finish!

Lisa Bates completed A Walk to Remember alongside her two sisters in September 2015 across Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Way whilst their mum was in the midst of her treatment for stage 3c womb cancer:
“It was an emotional and difficult 26 miles but so worth it! Meeting others affected by gynaecological cancers, and walking side by side, was so integral to our processing of everything she had been through. We finished with an overwhelming sense of pride, gratitude and acceptance, as well as new strength to support her.
It’s an experience not to be missed; it provides a great physical challenge, beautiful views, time for reflection and an incredible sense of solidarity, whether you have been personally affected by gynaecological cancers or not, and of course a wonderful opportunity to support such an important cause. So grab a loved one or come alone, and walk to remember – you won’t regret it.”
Be part of #TeamEve this September and take on the stunning Cotswolds. Your support will help The Eve Appeal to protect women from gynaecological cancers.
When registering, each participant must pay a non-refundable £25 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum sponsorship amount of £325 for the 26 mile route or £300 for the 13 mile route.
The sponsorship targets are per person, but we would also welcome teams to take part in this challenge, in which case we would expect the team as a whole to raise the combined sponsorship total, e.g. a team of three doing 13 miles would have a combined target of £900, making joint fundraising easy.
Once you have registered, you will receive a Welcome Pack from Global Adventure Challenges along with one-to-one support from The Eve Team plus hints and tips to help you with your fundraising.
