MORE THAN SEX (part 1) – The Inner Woman and Sexuality – By Zulma Reyo

Inspired by the best-selling book THE INNER WOMAN by Zulma Reyo

Sex is fun but also scary, and we don’t talk much about that last part.  No matter how hard we try to put our emotions aside and program ourselves to be “light”, if we are honest with ourselves there is nothing light about being a woman.  In fact, that “lightness” is something we find in men, who in moments bring relief from the depths of ourselves.

Girlfriends console us; they understand us, they match and harmonize with us.  But they are another “me”, and sometimes “me” just gets too heavy.  Women worry and women “feel”.  A lot.

In the outer world we can do anything we set our mind to but a woman’s inner world is not a matter of doing. I am not speaking about our psychological musings or complex antennae. I am not alluding to thoughts at all but to a state of feeling receptivity that underlies our every breath and has no words.  It is something like a pure yearning.

The Inner Woman is the same for each of us, but the way we embrace and show her to the world is always unique, shaded by our culture, by our own thoughts and aspirations, and very much coloured by our own creative style.

So I won’t talk to you about style, in fact I always love to hear about yours.  What I do is point you to that place of intimacy where all thoughts cease, the pause between two breaths, the merging moment when you feel one with those you love.  The moment that defines You.
