MY Food’s Favourite Cold Remedies – Part 2

MY Food logoAs we said before common colds are the topic of conversation during the winter months. We believe in the power of fresh food and ingredients to help revive us. Here are some more delicious and fresh ingredients you can add to your meals to help fight the cold symptoms

Spices – Some may say along with all things nice, this is what little girls are made of. All we know is that the more spice you add to your meals the clearer your sinuses will be so try adding some to your next dinner, mixed spice or chilli powder will add a twist. Don’t forget to have a tissue handy!

Lemons – We couldn’t leave out everyone’s best friend during the dreaded common cold. One lemon is packed with over 80% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C and has been shown to boost the immune system. This is why lemons play such an important part in everyone’s cold rituals. Lemon added to a little hot water with some honey is one of the most effective remedies known for a cough and cold
