British Chinese Law Association

It aims to encourage business relationships between its members, promote mutual understanding between the legal professions of the two countries and foster legal best practice and know how.

The BCLA organises seminars, roundtables, social events and legal language exchange sessions.

The BCLA has no political or ethnic associations.

The BCLA was established in 1999 with the aim of cultivating relations between the legal communities in Britain and China.

The BCLA was re-launched in 2009/2010 under an expanded Committee which increased its event base and launched a new website. The 10-year anniversary was marked by the BCLA China10 series, launched in 2010 to address the next ten years of legal developments in Britain and China.
