Joy Burnford | Founder & Director, My Confidence Matters Ltd

Joy Burnford is the founder and director of My Confidence Matters, and is an experienced business leader, entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for gender equality at work. She is the host of ‘The Confidence Conversation’ podcast, a regular speaker, author of a book called ‘Don’t Fix Women: The practical path to gender equality at work’ (being published in November 2022) and has written over 70 articles on Forbes.com.

My Confidence Matters works with organisations to progress gender equality by building confidence and capability. Through extensive research, they help build awareness and understanding of the barriers and obstacles that women face at work and provide bespoke practical tools and frameworks to make big change happen. They do this by delivering talks, workshops, coaching and leadership programmes for both men and women in organisations.

Joy also sits on the Board of Directors of the East of England Co-op, playing a key role in ensuring the long-term success of the business, shaping future direction and overseeing governance, policy and strategy decisions.

She is a busy mum to two wonderful young children and a puppy called Ziggy, so understands the challenges that many of us face on a daily basis!
