Pacific Oriental

Pacific Oriental BarThe Pacific Oriental is housed within an impressive high-ceilinged period building, creating a dramatic effect from the moment you walk through the door.

Pacific Oriental is renowned for both fine dining and its buzzing bar atmosphere. On the ground floor there is also an informal, luxurious-style brassiere.

From the menu, you might come across starters such as duck and tamarind gyozas, followed by a main course of Sukiyaki beef with udon noodles.

For the full fusion effect, start with wok-fried frogs’ legs with chilli & French beans before a main course of roast black cod with Korean chilli paste and mixed seaweed or perhaps roast best end of lamb with Japanese mustard & garlic-fried Pak Choi.

As well as serving delicious Pacific Rim cuisine, Pacific Oriental is just as famous for one of the most enticing cocktail bars in the City.

With a mix & match selection of high chairs, leather cubes & banquettes making the most of the wide open spaces that comprise the buzzy bar.

Cocktails range from classic daiquiris & Manhattans to Japanese-style creations such as the wasabi Mary & exotic hybrids like the ‘celderflower’, which fuses celery, elderflower cordial & Russian Standard vodka.

The wine list is ample and there is also a choice of teas that perform different functions and a few choices of sake as well.
