OK, so I thought I will be giving you a weekly update but this is sooo good it just cannot wait.
You know, after Date 1 with hunky guy, who we will call Mr A, remember I mentioned that the texting got wild and the calls got longer and longer!! In between me discipling myself with the Journey model, I don’t know if that spooked him or not but for one spooky reason or the other,he fell ‘ill’ for our next date!! Phew!! I’m not sure how you’re getting on with the Journey model (remember to share with us all how your Journey is panning out), but I know being conscious of the little things is hard especially when you’re the offshoot of Venus herself!!! So I was discussing the ‘mood swing from his end’ or shall we say, the change of his ‘tapping to the beat’ with a friend and then we thought about performing a mini DISC profile test on him (in his absence of course)!! You may be thinking, this is deep!! Well, remember that the ultimate goal of Wise Girl is to find the love that she wants and have always hoped for!! No kidding about!! Plus if this was a ‘physical investment’, as you do on the job, wouldn’t I conduct a full blown performance analysis to see which investment is contributing negatively to my portfolio’s performance? Ok then!! I feel that knowing his personality type and mine, I should be able to tailor the standard Journey model accordingly…
What is the DISC profile? It essentially stand for Dominance, Influence, Compliance and Steadiness. This is a personality profile that is typically used to assess one’s working style. I strongly believe that if I’m a tardy bit conscious of my date’s personality, I should perhaps be able to dance better to the music! You know how it is, when we get giddy and all especially after the first date, when we feel to share everything without considering how that may impact the guy standing opposite us!!
DISC…….
So I described Mr A perfectly to my friend, who by the way is an expert on these issues, shared a few bits and bobs about how he is etc etc how he absorbs every information and plays back on it!! I like him like that!! Don’t worry I’m not defaulting from the plan…. I also used some of the traits he’s already displayed to gauge his personality type.. Turns out that he may well be, just maybe, borderline S (Steadiness) with a hint of D(Dominance) and a relatively good proportion of an I (Influence). I on the other hand, I’m full blown D (Dominance) and I (Influence). My personality type, I’ve been told a million times now, has an impact on my communication style which may or may not cause a guy to back away. Apparently, there are only a handful of D’s and I’s in the world! which means we have to adapt to everyone else!!! Hello…
Here’s a copy of my DISC profile test results:
So coming back to point, given that guys like to chase after what they think they can’t have, it’s very very possible that this Journey model, if I stick to it religiously like my life depends on it, will eventually work especially if I can train myself to match his ‘tapping’ behind the knowledge that I know what personality type he is!!
This is getting exciting…
