The successful candidate will lead a corporate news file that is critical to Thomson Reuters success in selling services to traders, investors and media clients. She or he will be a leader in generating story ideas across a varied region that ranges from the world’s oldest and biggest companies to little-known start-ups in fast-growing frontier countries.

The editor will work with the Deputy Company News Editor for EMEA to spot important stories in the morning rush of disclosure news and work with correspondents to build up well-reported stories from spot. He or she will also work with specialist correspondents and bureaus to build a pipeline of telling and original stories that have the power to change the way clients think about companies and the people that run them.
The successful applicant will have a track record of writing, reporting and story-telling. They will be able to coach reporters in all aspects and be able to write and edit if necessary. They will work closely with the rest of the editing team across politics, economics, banking, financial markets and commodities.
