On Sunday 9 October the walk/run will take place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London or and also on Sunday 16 October at the royal Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

WeAreTheCity readers can use the discount code WATC16 to get £5 off registration, which is normally £15.

Each participant will have a fundraising target of £100 and all money will go towards supporting Target Ovarian Cancer in achieving its goal of a long and good life for every woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the UK.

Both walks will start at 11am and finish at around 3pm.

The day will also feature a Footprints stand where you can write a note in support of a loved one, an inspirational message or your reason for taking part in The Ovarian Cancer Walk.

You can find out more about the walk and how to register here.

If you cannot take part in the walk there are also opportunities to volunteer on the day and helping with marketing for the walk in the lead up to the event.

If you think you could help please register here as a volunteer and the charity will be in touch to discuss opportunities.

Target Ovarian Cancer is also on the look out for corporate sponsors. You can email the charity to request a copy of our corporate proposal.

There is also a supporter-led event – Annie’s Walk in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer in Cardiff on Sunday 16 October, please visit the website here for further information.
