CGI LogoCGI’s Wales Application Delivery Centre based in Bridgend requires additional Application Support and Development Analysts to supplement and increase its current Application Management Service Delivery capability to its numerous clients in various business industries in Public and Commercial Sectors.

Paying £27000 – £32000 per annum + Benefits  for the full-time permanent position, The Application Delivery Centre is looking for various candidates that have skills in the following technical areas SQL, .NET, JAVA

The Role

  • Reporting into a Service Lead and Service Provision Manager the role will include:
  • Provision of second and third line application support for multiple clients on a Shared Service basis;
  • Internal and External Client communications;
  • Working within SLA parameters;
  • Impact Assessment in response to requests for enhancement / change;
  • Responding to and acting on client issues/requests and recognition of client priorities;
  • Attendance of client meetings as necessary;
  • Strong Analytical Skills for problem solving;
  • Flexibility to working on 24/7 On-call Support;
  • Occasional working at evenings or weekends as necessary;

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

***Essential Skills Required***

  • Experience of working in an application support and development environment;
  • Understanding of support processes and experience of their implementation and usage in an application support scenario (ITIL experience)
  • Effective customer relationship, confident client facing and interpersonal skills;
  • Candidates will need to be eligible and willing to undergo UK security clearance if not already held;
  • Motivated / Determined / Pro-active

***Essential Technical Skills Required***

  • SQL (SQL Server or Oracle PL/SQL)
  • .NET (ASP, MVC) or JAVA / JEE

*** Desirable Skills Required***

  • Experience of working in a development/support role;
  • Experience of working with configuration control tools;
  • Knowledge of appropriate service management methodologies (ITIL);
  • Experience in using call logging systems such as Remedy;
  • Understanding of object relational databases and server administration;

*** Desirable Technical Skills Required***

  • Egate;
  • Oracle SOA;
  • C#, VB.NET
  • OPA (Oracle Policy Automation);
